hey guys, i had Vintage Air installed and am having some problems. after the antifreeze leak was fixed, it ran fine for about a week. But now, when i turn it on to air..it runs for about two seconds then it goes to a much lower speed for another two seconds, then i hear a click and it shuts off. Any suggestions? tx Chris
Is this the First Gen vintage install? When you hear the click, is the compressor shaft turning ? ie, clutch engaged? Temp control knob almost all way to right?
Sounds like auto fan control problems, not normal for first gen. Didnt know Vintage offered anything for 4th gen camaros. Sorry, I cant help. Maybe someone else had done this.
Steve, if i had the slightest idea what that meant i would've given it a shot ...on a serious note, it was installed by a builder who isnt nearby and i dont know much about the system...sounds like i'm heading to Stans Restoration in lexington, NC...what exactly would a control panel recalibration involve..is it something an old motorhead with limitd recent experience can do?
You can get all of the technical stuff from Vintage airs web site under downloads. Good to have just in case. And yes Chris you should have no problem doing it yourself.
