Question Radiator probe fan control.... issues?

Well, the old original style radiator I bought was junk, as expected.
So I "borrowed" this aluminum one from a buddy who has a '68. He doesn't remember where he bought it from or who made it or anything. It's an eBay special from what I can find.

Will plumbing a trans cooler in front of it be sufficient to cool a TH350? I'll have to look for the largest one I can find.

It looks like I can buy a fan controller from several manufacturers that have a probe you jam into the radiator fins. EEK! Not a big deal I suppose. Anyone ever use one of those type controllers without problems? It seems a lot easier that a bunch of relays and extra fuses.

Looks like this one:

The fan is a Spal knockoff so you can probably use the Spal harness or even their controller kit.

I've got this one which functions well and has a trans cooler built in. Not using it of course....

Re: Radiator probe fan control.... issues?

Yeah.... exactly like that one. At least now I know the fan is a 2500. And it's Made In U.S.A.

That Spal 195FH looks like the ticket. I like the temp sensor setup WAY better than jamming a blunt instrument between the fins.

Thanks brother
