is this a good radiator

2.25" think isn't really that thick for a BBC.. Personally I'd be looking for something closer to 3".
I have a copper/brass 3.5" core and it's kick-arse!

Maybe Alumitech have something with more capacity.

I'd be using an OE clutch fan & shroud for better cooling too.

Nov 68 Van Nuys. 327 floor-shift-auto, Frost Green and not much else when new.
