carpet wet under glovebox

I have a 2000 pontiac bonneville and I am having problems finding the a/c drain line under the car. I was told it was stopped up and I could use a clothes hanger and clean the drain line out. Please help me?

Need to jack up the car and look up near center of firewall above the steering rack.
It's a black 'rubber' cap with the ends kind-a pinched together.

Re: carpet wet under glovebox

Its approx 6" to the right of the #8 spark plug on the underside of the evaporator housing. A black quarter sized rubber grommet with one end pinched down and a spring clamp retaining it to the evap housing.

It's a "2000 Pontiac Bonneville"
They're transverse mounted V-6 front drive - there is no "#8 spark plug" ...

Re: carpet wet under glovebox

You both are wrong. It's not at the firewall. I was under the car and looking for it by the firewall a long time and when I was about to give up, I looked to the rear and saw the 2" long rubber grommet hanging down under the right rear floor board. I worked with it a little and about a gal. of water drained out.
Now the fan dosn't come on. I checked the fuses, they are ok. Maybe the relay in the fuse box.

Well there's your problem - you've gone and drained the hydro-converter for the fan now

Sorry about the miss-lead ...
I had a 1999 Bonneville SSEi and the same problem with the condensation backing up with it.
Dealer corrected it once and I did it a few times after that.
Probably with the Pontiac 6000LE that had the same idiocyncracy

Hated that smell in the car
