Re: Vintage Air Gen IV

I just finished the install on my 69 non-ac car and I love it. It blows allot of air and is cold enough that my wife asked me to turn it down on a hot Mississippi day! I do not like the center AC vent they send in the kit so I bought a repo center one and bought an AC dash pad to look better than cutting a hole in the factory non-AC dash pad.

69 SS Silver Camro, LS3 efi, 4L60e with 2800 stall, mini tubed 12bolt 3.73, Ridetech front suspension ladder bar rear.

Re: Vintage Air Gen IV

I just put one in a 68 camaro non air car. Everything bolted up just as they said. All paper work is easy to read and understand.Minor problem with the tall valve covers, but called and they gave me the info i needed. Also did not care for the center vent so i put a factory center vent in and it hooked up find.

Re: Vintage Air Gen IV

It is a option, but on 68 and 69 cars which came with outer vents from the factory, we sell most of our kits with the factory repro center vent and hose adapter. On 67s which did not have outer vents on NON A/C cars, we sell the factory repro center and outer vents option. Makes for a really stealthy installation.

By the end of the week we will have the most comprehensive store front page for Vintage Air anywhere with every option. Pretty cool stuff.

In the meantime, we sell a lot of Camaro Vintage Air so if you have questions, please feel free to call.

Frank, sounds good. So you can put together a Vintage Air Gen IV kit that would includes the factory style vents and hose adapter(like the vents and hose adapters that places like Rick's Camaros sell)? The reason I ask is that I don't like the stuff that comes in the vintage air kits.

Thanks,
Tony

O/T, but...

Hey Frank,
What are your thoughts on the Billet Specialties V-Trak system?

Re: Vintage Air Gen IV

Used the vintage in my 69Z, replaced the dash pad with the factory looking unit with AC center vent, Used the factory center style repop vent. Looks a lot better.
