Superior Radiator: Aluminum - Quality?

Found this on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...TQ:MOTORS:1123

Then read a few posts here about Superior, didn't read anything bad. Anyway, I contacted them, their radiator listed above is 350.00 for buy it now but I have an Auto trans, he replied that it would cost another 40.00 more for that and it's all straight bolt in, no mods.

Their site: http://www.wwwsuperiorradiator.com/6...amaro_chevelle

Can anyone comment on Superior for a 69 SB?

$390.00 with a fan an trans cooler is a pretty good deal!

Re: Superior Radiator: Aluminum - Quality?

Well I bought the Superior, with the fan, delivered for 335.00. I'll do a writeup on the install with photos and we can all find out just how good it is.

Re: Superior Radiator: Aluminum - Quality?

I bought this for my 68 LS conversion. Its not running yet but fit right in. No issues. Seems to be a quality piece.

Should be photos of it in my page link both installed and pre installation page 8.

Re: Superior Radiator: Aluminum - Quality?

I have had one in my 68 with 383 powerglide for almost two years. I have not driven a lot but have had no problems with it. The quality was surprising for the price, I polished mine and made a 4" 360 degree shroud that mounts to the flat shroud, works and looks great. I also made a switch that screws into the intake for the temperature reading. I shortened the length of the probe, put it in a bushing and filled the bushing with JB Weld. Walagh, you have your own screw in temperature sender. I let it set for 24 hours, works fine and takes a reading from the engine. JB Weld and Duct tape are just about two of the greatest inventions ever.
I got mine on auction for 239.00 and added the 40.00 tranny cooler.
