A/c goes out when accelerating

When I get going my accelerator my a/c cuts out then resumes after i let off of it. Any one have this problem or any ideas of what it could be.

What car? Most every vehicle built since the advent of the TPS sensor shuts off the a/c compressor during heavy acceleration. If it's an older car it could be belt slippage.

Being an '01, probably does turn off the compressor under heavy acceleration.
Owner's manual might mention this action.

I'm with Everett on this one. I've seen many low performance cars with a switch that the carb linkage hits to interrupt power to compressor on hard acceleration.

usually the compressor interupt doesnot stop the blowing, it is normaly it si for a short time you dont even notice the compressor was off, but a vacuum leak, can move the
doors, making you think the system shut down??

yeah its just stops blowing when i go. how can i tell if i have a vacuum leak?
