Factory Air or No?

Starting project on 69 standard coupe. How can I determine if it came with factory air or not?

Or, how much difference does it make when ordering a Vintage Air Gen IV system?

Re: Factory Air or No?

I assume there is no box in the engine compartment or compressor... You should have a center vent in the dash and the heater controls will have the a/c on it. When you order a VA system they need to know what type of controls you have so they can send the right kit.

68 RS Coupe 355/350 TH, Detroit Speed, Hotchkis, Vintage Air, 8.5" 3.42 posi 10-bolt, MagnaFlow 2 1/2" exhaust, etc.

Daniel, a/c cars have a vertical opening to the interior of the car, non a/c cars have a horizontal opening. Here is what the a/c car would look like with the box removed.
