Heater system replacement cost??

I'm currently weighing the cost difference between putting in vintage air gen 4 system or new heater. My lever that adjusts cold and hot will not stay on hot, it slides up, and my when my heater is blowing it sounds like there is all kinds of dust or something in there. I'm wondering if my symptoms are easy to fix, and, or what is the cost to totally replace heater system? Core, vent box, cables, everything needed to make swap. Im not sure if there are things needed that I'm not thinking about when pricing? Any tips, or help would be much appreciated. Thank you and Merry Christmas.

Re: Heater system replacement cost??

Well, you can repair your original A/C system, and call Frank at Prodigy for a Vintage price. Then make your decision. Mice nesting in you blower by chance, or simply never been apart? Either way, both can be done and depend on your originality concerns.
