How to remove the heater fan control unit?

Hi,
can somebody explain, how i can remove the control unit for the heater fan? I dont know, if its the correct name. I mean the place in the dash board, where i can adjust the blower speed.
The problem is, that it only works with one speed.
Do i have to remove the hole Dash board panel? Or can i reach the unit from the front?

If to remove the Dash Board? Where are the screws, and whereon do i have to pay attention?

By the way, its a 69 Camaro Standard Interieur (see the photo)
Thanks Mike

Fahren sie nach Kaiserslautern. Ich kann dir helfen.

If you have a radio it must come out. Those gauges might have to come off also. But when you have the radio out you need to look up from underneath and find the screws to remove the controller.

Re: How to remove the heater fan control unit?

unfortunately, Kaiserslautern is very far away.

I tried to reach the controller from underneath, but it is very narrow behind the panel. So i wasnīt able to find the screws.
What, if i try to get there from above by removing the green dash panel? Isnīt it the easiest way?

i dont think you need to remove dash pad. Look on the bottom side of the controller where the radio is. See 2 philips screws (Kreuz schrauben) take those off. Do you have a radio?

Like the message above states, taking the drivers seat out makes this so much easier. There should be three screws holding it in there. And, all three are located on the front of the control panel. Two on the bottom and one on the top. Very easy, just be careful pulling it out or whatever you are going to do with it, lots of cables, vacuum hoses and cables.
