Any of you guys running a reverse rotation water pump. My March Styletrac serpentine belt system came with one (long pump). I'm having a hell of time finding a lower radiator hose to fit since the water pump has a 1 1/2" outlet and the radiator is 1 3/4". Anybody find a molded hose that fits this application?
Some have had luck by sitting the hose in boiling water for a few minutes and slipping it over after it becomes plyable. (have it in water beside the car) Use soap as a lubricant as an added measure to slip over). This did not always work so others just added a sleeve and spliced into the hose adding a piece of larger diameter hose to accomodate the radiator fitting.
Also send an email to march and ask for their recommendation....one would think they would have the answer?
You can just get a hose that fits the radiator and put a sleeve on the waterpump which will increase the diameter. Most of those little hose end kits that you can get a Summit have several sleeves in them for just such a thing. Or if you have a piece of 1-1/2" hose laying around you can make you own. Just cut a piece off it, slide it on the water pump, then put your 1-3/4" hose on top of it and clamp it.
You're welcome, but I just pretty much repeated what Chris said in different words.
