Water Pump

So I don't know if this is the right section to post this but I'll see. So my friend was looking under the hood and checking things out for me (he use to work on nothing but Chevy's for 20+ years) and he said I needed to replace the water pump. He said he could tell because he was able to grab the fan and he was able to move it around. So i went on to advanced auto parts online and they have one for like $30 bucks that is re-manufactured. So 2 questions.

1. How hard is it to replace the water pump?

2. Do I also need to replace the belt pulley?

Re: Water Pump

It's not hard at all. Good project for a beginner. Take digital photos first and as you go along. Disconnect the battery first, then drain the radiator.

You can re-use the water pump pulley.
