Aluminum radiators on Ebay.

There are a ton of Chinese brand radiators listed for a really good prices. Mixed in with these is a shop that makes them out of Chicago called Engineered Cooling Products. They have a great description for their Ebay radiator listings and more importantly made in the USA. Total cost shipped, just below $250. I have always used single row radiators in my racecars so I am curious to see how my new ECP double row will work in my streetcar. I will let you all know how well it works, should have it in a few days.

Re: Aluminum radiators on Ebay.

I am also looking for a rad (69 sb)looked up Enginered Cooling because i live in Chicago, there out of Briton Mi. I know it says CHICAGO on e-bay!!

I am looking for a rad that will except my factory shroud, my local shop wants $360 to recore mine. looking into the Be Cool #10009, says its a direct fit but i need to call the tech line. Be Cool is coming out with the sb OE series (black with ribbed tanks) in june.
TAKING ALL SUGGESTIONS!! Thanks Dan

Eastwoods trim black.
I did leave the area under the shroud natural.

Re: Aluminum radiators on Ebay.

So far I have not been happy with it. My ZZ4 used to run right at 190 on a 90 degree day with an old falling apart and spray painted single row Modine. It was 80 today and on the wide open highway taking it easy it was running at 210. NOTHING was changed except for the radiator.

Re: Aluminum radiators on Ebay.

I've bought 3 all aluminum radiators now, 2 were Champion only one is in a veh that runs yet -wifes suburban and its working fine and it was about half the price of copper radiators available now.O'reilly's used to be the cheapest copper rad's around, the suburban had a lifetime warranty on it but not w/o a reciept, and it was 4-5 years old and was installed when I put a new crate engine in it- and was leaking everywhere- junk! make sure you get a good fin count on the core they are not all the same. aluminum won't corrode like copper will IMO.

Re: Aluminum radiators on Ebay.

I never posted any updates. I installed a high flow Stewart water pump and t-stat not long after my last post due to high temps in traffic. Since I have not had one single issue with cooling except when sitting in traffic at low RPMS for extended periods of time. A couple revs of the motor usually brings the temp right back down. 100 degree day last year w/ a/c on the road for 7 hours and temp never got over 190.

Re: Aluminum radiators on Ebay.

FYI, I just want to provide my feedback on these radiators (for a C5 Manual Corvette):

My first engineered cooling products radiator started leaking within 2 months and the replacement started leaking on day 1. The welds are terrible and not fully sealed. Mine had pinholes in them that would weep coolant. Customer service is also terrible. They require you to pay for return shipping and will not send a replacement until the original is received. I wasted a lot of money purchasing coolant, paying for shipping, and time every time to do the repair.

They have offered another replacement but this is not acceptable and I need a refund. Please do yourself a favor and don't subject yourself to this torture.

Re: Aluminum radiators on Ebay.

I'm running a engineering cooling radiator. Love it. I spent 200.00 plus redoing my factory radiator only to be disappointed. Ran hot. Then I bought a engineering cooling radiator and boy did that made a huge difference.
