Radiators with aluminum shrouds

I'm in need of a radiator and I really like the Entropy radiator with the aluminum shroud and the dual fans. The only thing that bothers me about this setup is how well it would do at cruise without allowing enough air to go through the core.

The Spal 11" dual fan setup comes with air flaps that open up during cruise and shut at low speed and idle. They sell the flaps individually on their website.

I'm thinking of getting the Entropy radiator and add in 6 or 8 flap doors across the top and bottom. They measure 2" X 3-1/4". Does this seem like it would be a benefit?

Re: Radiators with aluminum shrouds

I think the guy at Entropy is Tony, You need to talk to him. I want with the stock 23'' double row core and used my factory shroud , fan and clutch.

Re: Radiators with aluminum shrouds

My '97 Benz DOHC 48 valve V12 has dual electric pusher fans and an engine puller fan for cooling with the little flappers built into the shroud. It's a good concept and must work because the big Benz never gets above 95C no matter what I do or the weather does.

If the electric only solution doesn't cool enough for you, just keep spending money until it does. Or use the GM solution and forget about it.
