Cooling fans on 1994 camaro

Whats up,
I have a 1994 CAMARO 3.4L.
i DNT KNOW MUCH ABOUT CHEVROLET, My car is trying to run a little hot.
just got it two days ago. I cant seam to see that the cooling fans are comming
on. I would assume at a certain temp they should come on. Did find that radiator
cap is bad. whats the best way to check my fans for proper operation

Thanks

Re: Cooling fans on 1994 camaro

Never mind, my wife just got home and they are running. Sorry Now just need to fix the ac. No power to comp. I have out just about 16oz of the 134-a out of 32oz that it calls for. Should the comp clutch be on buy now are still gotta put the complete 32oz in.

Re: Cooling fans on 1994 camaro

Did you check the fuse for the compressor? Connecting and opening 1 can of refrigerant should be enough to close the low pressuure swich and turn on the compressor. The cooling fans should also come on when the compressor engages, if they do not the high side will go too high and force the refrigerant out of the system.
