Post Is a Big Block AC the same as a Small Block?

I'm sure the brackets are different, but is there anything else different? I have a 1968 396 BB that needs the complete air conditioning system from the firewall forward. I can get a 71 or 72 Nova SB A/C, but I'm hoping to find out if it would work and look right. Anyone know if I can use the Nova's Air Conditioner? Thanks!

Brackets are different as you already know, but the A/C evaporator case or suitcase as it referred to is also different, and can be a difficult and costly item to find.

Thanks Tony. OK, the suitcase is different as is the evaporator inside. So are the hoses, compressor, condenser the same?

Thanks for the help!
