What parts are I missing?... radiator install

I got a new Entropy radiator and tried mounting it to a new radiator core support. The radiator hits in the middle and neither side bracket touches the core support. Either the brackets are not off-set enough or I'm missing some other parts. I can make spacers for each side but if I'm missing something, what is it?

Thanks

Sounds like you might be missing the well nuts? How much space to you have to take up? FWIW I don't have any in mine but two different radiators mounted directly to the core support fine. I need to get some though as they help keep the radiator from trying to crack if it expands. I think you only use the well nuts on one side though and one side bolts in with tacked on nuts.

I have about 1/4-1/2" on each side. I'll get some well nuts and see what happens. The middle of the radiator hits the core though and I don't want that touching so I may have to build some spacers. Pretty sure I've seen those nuts at Home Depot. I'll check tomorrow. Thanks!!

Just an update:

It not fitting had nothing to do with the radiator. The aftermarket core support needed tuning. Fits perfect now even without the well nuts.

Ah, the ever famous 2X4 and BFH tuning tools.
I bolted the radiators solid to the rad support in all the Camaro's I had.
Couldn't see half the weight of a copper/brass rad hanging on two rubber pieces/wellnuts.

You might use some pipe insulation cut in long pieces to go between the radiator and the support to direct air through the radiator than around it.

Re: What parts are I missing?... radiator install

We typically don't drive our classic's like they were when sold as daily drivers so not using the wellnuts probably isn't a big issue. They are intended as a dampner for vibration and expansion from heat cycling to prevent solder cracking caused leaks.

No reason to not trust them as part of the radiator fastener system, they were used on millions of cars driven billions of miles without much failure.
