Need help with a part for vent

Does anyone know the correct name and where I can buy the plastic vent tube that attaches to the firewall on the inside and eventually goes to the kick panel vent? Im missing the left side. Looking on the inside of where the wiper arm assembly is there is a big hole for it. I have the right side but cant seem to locate the left.

Thanks for your help
Dennis

Re: Need help with a part for vent

Not sure what year car you have or what part your refering to. On my 69 if I recall the kick panel vent is all on the kick panel no extra ducting for the bottom vent. The Upper astro vent has a duct with a flapper in it that goes through the upper part of the cowl. Not sure if I have spares of those or not. (could be forced to check)

Re: Need help with a part for vent

Forgot to look for this until now. Found one abut not sure which is left side. I also think there is another piece setween the outside one and the actual vent in the dash, didn't find an extra of that yet.

Re: Need help with a part for vent

In the picture that is posted, you need the part on the left. You will also need the screws that hold the part to the firewall if you don't have them. There are no other parts needed for the left side of the dash astro ventilation.

Thanks John! Now a bit more clarification for a guy who's car been apart for 23 years. Do I need a round flex hose and a molded round to square elbow for the right side?

Re: Need help with a part for vent

The right side does need the flex tube. It connects from the vent on the cowl and the vent on the dash. You can buy it from NPD, Ricks, Camaro Central etc, or you could go to a home improvement store and see if they have it.

Also, there is a part that screws to the back side of the dash on the right side. Do you have that piece? The flex tube will connect to it.

My car is finally getting paint and is not at home or I would take pictures for you.

Re: Need help with a part for vent

I think I've got it figured out now. I found a molded elbow, square on one end round on the other. I don't think it's first gen Camaro part. I've got the flex tube and should have the dash parts in a box someplace. Thanks for the input!

Re: Need help with a part for vent

It's pretty easy once your figure out where the parts go.
