New Griffin Dominator Series Radiators?

I see griffin universal radiators thru summit with 2, 1.5" tubes. They
say these will fit 69 camaros, need to get a new radiator soon. The
price is 275.00 compared to the direct fit for 579.00? The only differece
is 26.24 wide compared to mine now which is 28"s. Want to use it for
a BB car, anyone try these yet?

I would run the biggest radiator I could fit for a big block.

Re: New Griffin Dominator Series Radiators?

I went to the griffin website and they claim they went into their old designs and
came up with this series. They claim it will fit 1st gen camaros, will see, I ordered
one. Summit sells them for 287.00 and free shipping. It has 2 rows of inch and a
quarter tubes. Will post after installation for fit and cooling. Thanks for the replies!

Re: New Griffin Dominator Series Radiators?

Update on Griffins universal dominator radiator. It is a direct fit,
has 2, 1.25 tubes, cools my bb468 with electric fan in 95deg weather
crusing 195 deg, excellent radiator for 287.00. Has a 23" core x 18.75".
I think you have to modify gm shrowd for mecanical fan though. Posted
this in case anyone looking for a quality radiator at a good value.

Hey Bill, The part# is GRI-8-00009, price is 274.69 with free
shipping. Griffin website said you may have to modify your
factory fan shroud, but I,m using a dual lo profile flex-a-lite
setup. It took little effort to install and am very satisfied with
it. Cooled my bb no problem.

Re: New Griffin Dominator Series Radiators?

Just a heads up. I just bought a 8-70009 which is the Dominator with cooler for auto trans for $305 off Amazon of all places. Pretty smokin deal considering Summit sells them for $390.

Did you have to modify your fan shroud?
