Vintage air brackets

I am installing vintage air in a 69 camaro the bracket to mount the compressor to the top hole on the water pump is hitting the power steering pump cap. has anyone had this problem? the only solution that I can come up with is to cut the braket and weld a 3" pipe cut in half to go around the cap. does any one have another solution?

Re: Vintage air brackets

I used March brackets and have plenty of room even with a large cap on the power steering unit.

Re: Vintage air brackets

I'll check tonight, but maybe different belt sizes?
I have no issues.
You don't need a serpentine sytem for it to work, and work well it does with v belts.

Re: Vintage air brackets

Check out a company called Bill's Hot Rod Company. I used their brackets to install my Vintage Air setup, & no modifications were needed.
