68 Camaro a/c hose help!!

I have a 68 RS Convertible Camaro, with a 327 in it. It came with Factory A/C. Been in the family for 40 years. Anyway, i just had a hose go bad, that appears to contain the Freon for the a/c unit. It is attached at both ends by ribbed metal fittings. One starts at the Compressor and the other goes up top to .........not sure but it's got something to do with the a/c. I'm not mechanically inclined, so not sure. Either way, the hose is a heavy duty hose. It's reinforced for high pressure, for sure. I need a new one but don't have a clue as to where to find one and/or what to call it?? It's in the shape of a "ribbon", like is used in cancer symbols, etc. It doesn't quite cross, so it's kind of shaped like a tear drop. either way it's about 40 inches long. Can anyone help me??
