Kick panel air vents

I want to know if I should seal the kick panel shut if I go with vintage air. Or can I just keep them and close it if I have the A/c on? This is for both 67 and 69 with kick panels that I plan to have vintage air by next summer I hope lol.

Re: Kick panel air vents

You could leave the kick panel vents and close them as you suggest. Does the vintage air unit provide for outside air to enter the cabin unless "max" A/C is selected? The first generation A/C cars had what appeared to be a passenger side kick panel vent, but it did not vent to the outside. It was a valve utilized to circulate "max" A/C, or worked in conjunction with a fresh air intake valve which was located under the cowl (near the right windshield wiper).

The VA system does not utilize outside air
