Top rad hose

I have a stock 327 with short water pump and the alternator is high driver side....
Stock manifold bracket
Stock long swooping alternator bracket
Correct pulley
All STOCK


Problem I am facing is the alternator belt is digging into the top radiator hose

Yeah, it's a close fit. Try repositioning the hose, slightly rotating it up.

  • '68 RS, AA, 749, L30, M(uncie)20 (originally a 3spd), 15yr backburner resto........

Brian I believe he is looking for the belt number.

It could also be the molded hose made wrong, but generally, there is clearance, not much.

Hahaha - - -thanks. Please post a picture - lets take a look and see what the problem is.

67 has 3 SB hoses used
3892626 - 1967 Camaro Upper SB Radiator Hose
3892650 - 67-68 Z/28 Upper SB Radiator Hose
3892684 - 67-68 Camaro with A/C Upper SB Radiator Hose

Pretty sure we can figure something out for you....

I had the same problem a few years ago and I remember switching the hose around (rad side to waterneck) and gained a bunch of clearance. I guess I had it on backwards at first.

67 Camaro 350
