Factory Heat A/C controller, how to remove knobs???

How do you remove the chrome knobs off the ends of the slider arms? Mine do not want to just pull off, they're fighting me,, Do i just need to show who's boss and apply more force? or is there a trick to it?

No. They're just really tight. I had to remove mine when I converted the control for my Vintage Air set up. Just be careful. They're metal, so not likely to break but you can scratch them....

Kind of a mute point now, one of the arms is broken near the cable attachment. Going with the Dakota Digital controller DCC-2400-H-C-B to match my Dakota Digital gauges
