Radiator recommendations 67 Camaro w/383

After extensive research I think I've narrowed down my cooling problem. I have a 21" non AC stock radiator in my Camaro. I also have a factory shroud installed that is for an AC radiator. The shroud doesn't fit right and previous installer had to do some trimming to get it to fit. There are gaps along the sides of the shroud where it should be touching the radiator. Gaps are smaller at the bottom of the radiator and get bigger (1/2") at top. In doing research I found a factory style 3 row radiator for manual transmission cars with AC (copper built). https://www.camarocentral.com/67_69_...PD_p/rad-4.htm . I am also interested in the Cold Case radiator but Cold Case doesn't offer a small block radiator with factory AC option. I intend to replace my radiator shroud and my radiator at the same time. I have Vintage air condensor mounted in front of radiator and small transmission cooler mounted off to the right corner in front of the condensor. Also my clutch fan only goes into the shroud about 1/4 of the way. The shroud I have now is 7 1/2" deep. I am trying to order the proper radiator and shroud and am not sure which are correct. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

I guess I should call them and ask them the same questions I've asked here? What shroud, how to get the clutch fan inside the shroud, and what radiator? I don't trust salesmen to sell me what I need. I trust fellow members who have experience actually installing the product.

Thanks anyway.

Based on this info, I'd get the CC BB MT radiator and make sure you order a BB fan shroud for proper fitment. This differs from my answer in the other topic because of your willingness to get a new shroud.

Where should I purchase the radiator? Summit?

Thanks again!

We have MAP pricing so most places you order will be the same price. Summit, Jeg's Ground Up, NPD, Classic Industries all stock Cold Case. I sent you a PM with options.

Re: Radiator recommendations 67 Camaro w/383

OP

You have a 21" radiator but it sounds like you have a SB fan shroud for a 23" radiator which was used on 327 cars with AC...which was cut down to "somewhat" fit your 21" radiator

You have aftermarket aluminum radiator and fan shroud options noted by Vega$$. Or you can buy a 23" copper core 3 row from rockauto for example and then get the correct shroud that is not cut down

a stock fan clutch and fan (5 blade asymmetrical) , for me, sits 1/2 way in/out of this set up

I think I've figured out I have the BB radiator for a SB with AC. My cores are 21" but radiator overall is 26 1/2". I have a new radiator and shroud coming. Thank you!
