Vintage Air Sealing Tape

The instructions that came with my Vintage Air unit state "wrap all exposed metal on the #10 line with sealing tape" on the suitcase but they don't say anything about the #6 line and the associated expansion valve.

Is it not necessary to wrap these as well or should the expansion valve remain exposed to the atmosphere? I am no HVAC guy so just looking for a little guidance here.

Re: Vintage Air Sealing Tape

The number 10 one is the only one that will sweat, hence the tape to insulate it. It is the only one that needs tape.

Thanks Don. I thought that might be the case but didn't know for sure. Appreciate the response.
