1968 rs

Does anyone can tell me how to install the retractil headlighs for 68 RS.
I took whole bloody thing apart because I want it to paint the whole car and now, I do not know how to assemble it back.

Best regards to everybody.

Re: 1968 rs

You should be able to figure it out from the '68 AIM:

Downloadable AIM's and some service manuals

Re: 1968 rs

We can probably help guide you through it if you have the AIM to refer to so we know we're talking about the same parts.

The first step is to install the headlight assemblies. You'll have to jockey them around to get the bellcrank through the hole in the inner fenders. Let us know how you proceed and we'll go from there....

Re: 1968 rs

Thanks for your help.

But I already have that AIM book but the pages dedicated to the retractable headlights, uhhhh I can not make out how the bloody thing goes.
Any other book or else that it be more clear.
Nice picture by the way, incredible restoration.

Regards.

Re: 1968 rs

Thanks. There are no other books that I'm aware of. We can help, but you need to let us know exactly where you stand in terms of assembly and parts on hand. Suggest opening an account at a photo hosting site such as imgur or flikr so you can post pics without limitations.
