There should be a main feed wire that goes to an input terminal the headlight switch. Another terminal on the headlight switch will then send power down out of the switch (only when the switch is pulled out all the way and does not vary the voltage) to the floor dimmer switch. The dimmer switch will have 3 terminals with one that goes to the output of the headlight switch and the reamining two to the headlights. The two wires (one for low beam/one for high beam) that go to the headlights off of the switch will go to the driver's side headlight and then be "Y"d off to go to the other headlight.
If you don't have a wiring diagram for the headlight switch you will need that to know which is the input wire from the battery or fuse block, the parking light wire output on the switch, the headlight output on the switch, the dome light circuit, and also the dash light circuit. (variable output). Some headlight switches also require a ground connection for the dimmer circuit and/or dome light portion.
