Unhappy frame replacement options

I need a new Convertible top frame for my 67' . I bought a Dynacorn Power top frame and took it to the trip shop and the guy said it was junk and wouldn't even fully collapse. What options do I have? ( the car has a power top already) I called the company and they said they had an issue with a couple of their lots of frames so I'm wondering if another frame would be better

Re: frame replacement options

1. Do you still have your old one?
Can you take parts off of the DynaCorn to rebuild you old frame?

2. Look for a used frame on Ebay?

3. Fix your DynaCorn frame to make it work.

Re: frame replacement options

Had the same issue. Used the new one as a donor to fix the old one as suggested by Patrick.

Re: frame replacement options

Thanks for the reply's, I ended returning the frame and buying a second one from another supplier. ( because the two the first dealer had were from the same production run) the second top was much better. To answer the question of whether you could use parts off the Dynacorn to replace parts on the original. I don't think they are enough alike that you could do that but I didn't actually try. the rails that go over the window on both sides were severely bent. looked like someone sat on the top when it was down maybe? My last option was a person here in Michigan that has a stockpile of old top frames but he was several hours away. Anyone using these re-pop frames in the future beware. They are not all the same and like most imported parts quality control sucks. My installer said the second top was great and folded easier than the original
