1969 Pace Car Refurbishing

I just acquired a 1969 Pace Car from my uncle that has been in our family since new. His dad bought it brand new. I intend to refurbish it mechanically, but it has been garaged and very well maintained. I have enjoyed the information on the forums, and look forward to getting input and advice from other members as I move along with the project.

Partial paint years ago (after rust repair in lower quarters). M-20 4-speed. Oh, and a door repaint on the passenger side after a dent that is slightly off color if you look closely enough. I plan on driving it, soI doubt that I will mess with making the paint perfect.

Nice car and welcome to TC. Guard that POP with your life. That's the money right there.
The interior is worn as you say but it can be taken care of. Interior kits aren't overly expensive.

I didn't notice D96 pinstripes (?) Exterior Related - Camaro FAQ, so figured it had been repainted.

Should be a fun cruiser...

I might put the D96 stripes back on. I always liked those. Several decisions like that to still make. The “Indy” script door decals were never put on it. I wish they were still with the car. I’m not a fan of the script, but the originals would be nice to have!
