Cool Headers

Anybody know what headers and high performance intake manifold will fit a 67 350 camaro with stock heads & factory A/C to accommodate the factory A/C brackets, auto trans and clear the steering gear box?

Re: Headers

After a ton of research when I did mine. I only found Dynatech. That is going back about 9 years. They fit great no issues. They are even 1 5/8 stepped up to 1 3/4 long tubes with a 3Ē collector. I can try to find paperwork to get part number if you want.

Re: Headers

Unfortunately, Dynatech is no longer producing headers that fit the 1st Gen Camaros (and 3rd Gen Novas) with a Gen 1 small block Chevy engine.

Re: Headers

Wow that is unfortunate. They are a great fitting set of headers. They have extremely good ground clearance and 4bolt collector flanges.

Re: Headers

I purchased a pair of Sanderson mid-length headers for my 67 350 with a manual trans. They accommodate my Vintage Air just fine. My car is manual steering so could not comment on the power steering issue.

Re: Headers

Heres the Dynatech part number just in case you need it. You may find a set of deadstock somewhere. They do fit well.

Paul,

I donít believe the 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 will fit with the stock A/C suitcase. I wanted to order those and was told the only ones they said would fit with the stock A/C suitcase were the 1 5/8 to 1 3/4.

Do you have those headers on a car with stock A/C?

Re: Headers

I used Patriot full length headers on my '67 406 small block. great clearance on the steering box. Cannot speak to the AC part, but very happy with the fit and finish of the Patriots, and they don't break the bank.

Re: Headers

Speedway is showing that part number of dynatech for sale.

https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Dynat...iABEgLPJ_D_BwE

Sometimes the big parts houses do not update when parts are discontinued.

If the picture on the Speedway site is an accurate portrayal, those are NOT a true equal length header. Just know that "long tube" does not necessarily mean equal length.

JMHO, but if had a mostly stock engine with functioning A/C, I would run the factory cast iron exhuast manifolds. You will likely be much happier in the long run.
