Team Camaro (and friends) Sunday A.M. Drive - NH Coast

Several of us are getting together for a drive early this Sunday morning and will be passing through Salisbury Beach and Hampton Beach on the coastal route on our way up to York Maine. We plan to stop for breakfast in York around 8 AM.

So far we think we have 6 cars (4 TC'ers first gens and 2 friends).

Let me know if anybody else in MA/NH/ME wants to join in and I'll pass on more details.

'67 rs - ordered new by my Grandfather
327 L30, K-K, Deluxe int, tach & gauges, 12 bolt posi, 4 speed.

I'll be joining up for this cruise in Hampton, should be a great day as far as the weather goes and will be fun to be part of a group of classic cars all cruising together up along the coast!

I'll meet up with you at Salisbury Beach. Are you coming up Rt 1 from Melrose?

Kevin

If you jump in your car fairly soon and start driving, you'll be here in time for Sunday morning - I'm just saying...

Excellent Kevin, I was waiting for your confirmation. We will probably shoot up the highway (I-95 to Xit 56A) and come into Salisbury that way so pick anywhere you want on Beach road and we'll wait for you or see you there. Town hall maybe? Should be an open parking lot on a Sunday morning.

Re: Team Camaro (and friends) Sunday A.M. Drive - NH Coast

Scott I'm way too aware of how long it takes to make that trip. We just drove non stop to NH for my sons wedding in Hopkinton last month and then drove back to Tennessee 5 days 8 days later. 17 hours to be exact ONE way.. LoL.. I need to rest up for a year or 2 before I do that again. You guys have fun. It sounds like a great ride. I was born in York Beach & grew up in Hampton, Portsmouth.. Uncle had a seafood restaurant at Hampton Beach, Grandpa was the Fire Chief, mom worked at the candy store in the Casino in the 40s, family still lives there. Yeah I know my way around that area pretty well.

Re: Team Camaro (and friends) Sunday A.M. Drive - NH Coast

Mark,

I've done that drive myself so I'm well aware, I was just messing with ya

What I can do is have some fried clams in your honor some point during the day, I know that's a bit cruel, but it's the best I can do.

We'll be thinking of you during the cruise and give you a followup report.

Scott

Re: Team Camaro (and friends) Sunday A.M. Drive - NH Coast

Tom, I'm trying really hard not to do anything stupid to the car before tomorrow morning. I have been dialing in the driveline angles over the past couple of days. I changed pinion shims 3 times, and shimmed the trans up and down 3 different ways.

There's still a light hum at 70-80mph. But, I think it's as good as it's going to get.

I have been working on a custom console for my stereo install, so I have been without tunes for the past few weeks. I re-installed the stereo, cranked up the three Alpine amps and two 12" subs and all unwanted noises went away. Go figure...
