Re: Camaro Nationals in Frederick, MD

I won first place in mild modified, participant judged!

...ok so it's not a real first place but it felt darn good and was quite unexpected since I was surrounded by what I thought were nicer cars.

back in the early 70s I was almost shot. tell me that is not bad.
I worked with cw wright when we heard sirens a blaring. next thing I know here came this black idiot and jumped in the back of the line truck, knocked my hard hat off, grabbed me and said " here is the SOB you want he tried to kill me"
luckily the people I was working with was up a pole and some distance away and told the cops a different stoey
as I said
NO DESIRE TO HEAD TO FREAKY FREDRICK OR BEOND

Fredneck isn't a bad area. Besides our sheriff is a CC advocate.

Re: Camaro Nationals in Frederick, MD

I saw your car there George but I couldn't find you. The car is beautiful. Really neat to see a six!

I enjoyed the show and the town is actually pretty nice.

I had to leave and come back because we were playing "toss the kiddies" back and forth all day. My wife went out of town Sunday morning and had to do a bunch of running around. I had the kids for a bit, left for lunch with my wife and kids, then went back sans kids, got distracted by the owners of that black 69 that was heavily modified (good people; live in Silver Spring. We traded numbers to hang out later). Really nice car there. Didn't take pics because, well, I didn't think about it.

I was SHOCKED that I beat the 69 next to me!

Anyway right now the engine wiring harness is out of the car and un-taped, the plugs and distributor are out, and it's not moving until my new HEI comes in and is installed. I've been fighting points for a year and a half and am quite done with that! I'm going to buy new wire on my way home tonight, remove the resistance wire from the harness, solder in the new, extend a few others, hide them and neaten up the bay some. Probably use tape followed by wire loom to make it look professional and all that. Also going to pull the rear seat and fix a squeak back there, pull the A-arms off and replace the ball joints, and do some minor touch up to the paint.

...see what happens when my wife leaves town?

Re: Camaro Nationals in Frederick, MD

Here are all my pictures from the show and from Gettysburg and Antietam.

Jeez, just realized that a lot of pictures are missing because I KNOW I took a few of your car. I think using two camera's my upload process deleted the duplicate names of pictures. I'll have to go back and see what are dups and rename them and upload them, I know I had your engine bay and your interior and now I can't find them in my album. Good thing I have them saved at home.
