Delaware Valley Riverfront Camaro Show - Wilmington, DE. June 7th 2015

Attention Fellow Camaro/Firebird Owners:

On Sunday, June 7th (rain date: June 14th), the Delaware Valley Camaro Club will host its 11th annual Riverfront Camaro Show at the Shipyard Shops on the Wilmington Riverfront. The Riverfront Camaro Show is a car show dedicated exclusively to the Chevrolet Camaro and the Pontiac Firebird. The event is open to all years Camaros and Firebirds including stock, modified, pro-street, race cars and even daily drivers. Top 25 awards are given for best Camaro and Firebirds, plus celebrity picks. There will also be Camaro test drives courtesy of Diver Chevrolet and NuCar Chevrolet.

Back again this year is the Prestige Invitational which will be celebrating Camaros and Firebirds that are maintained to factory original specifications and in a high level of condition. This class will be available to pre-registered 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation Camaros and Firebirds only and will be limited to 12 spots. The registration fee is $30 for the Prestige class and participants must be pre-registered and selected prior to the day of the show. Judging in this class will be based on originality, factory correctness and overall presentation. The top three winners will be featured in Chevy Classics Magazine. How many cars usually show?

...and do you have a mild modified class? Mine is kinda far from stock but unique in that it has its original 250 and powerglide. Little work done to the engine bay though.

Sold:
1968 Base hardtop 250 with a P̶G̶ built 2004r
Offy intake
Holley 390 CFM carb
Langdon split header to a 2.5" exhaust
Mild cam
Custom interior

Re: Delaware Valley Riverfront Camaro Show - Wilmington, DE. June 7th

George,
We typically have no less than 100 cars that show up for the event - Last year we had ~160 there. Needless to say it was a great time with a great bunch of people.

Regarding your question about the different classes, yes our top 25 awards include mild (and fully/pro-street) modified cars such as yours. If you get a chance, head on over to our site and you can see the cars that received awards in our top 25 class for 2014.

Re: Delaware Valley Riverfront Camaro Show - Wilmington, DE. June 7th

Pete, this is still on my radar for this year (weather looks ok so far), fixed my rich carb and is running much better. So here is the questions:

I am 1.5 hours away. registration is from 8am to 11am, so what time do you think would be best to arrive to:
1. not miss judging (original stock, but still need to fix a couple things for prestige )
2. get a good spot (do you park cars by class?)
3. have time to look at the cars and see everyone? (will have to remember to bring a list, I cannot remember anyone's names/faces anymore!)
4. what food venues are there? breakfast and lunch?

Not looking forward leaving my house at 6:30am with little sleep (after my daughters prom party guests will finish their partying about 2am sunday morning at my house. )

Kevin

Re: Delaware Valley Riverfront Camaro Show - Wilmington, DE. June 7th

Kevin,

1. Judging starts at ~9am but since registration is between 8am - 11am we make sure that all cars arriving within that time are covered.

2. and 3. We are not grouping the cars in classes for this year. Most of the cars arrive around 9am so you should be good to arrive around then as well. FYI - I know you didn't ask but there is also trailer parking available for the folks who will be towing. Also 9am would give you the time you need to walk and enjoy the show.

4. The riverfront has a bunch of restaurants that serve breakfast and lunch. I have attached a link to the places that will be in the area. Probably the closest for breakfast is The Big Fish Grill which is a 2 minute walk from where the cars will be displayed. Timothy's which offers lunch is about 100 yards away from the event.

We look forward to seeing you there.

All the best,
Pete
