Electric '69 Camaro at SEMA

This is cool... the company XING Mobility introduced an EV conversion kit or 'eCrate' using this 1969 Camaro. They are planning a plug-and-play conversion that would "adapt to the standard engine mounting points used by GM muscle cars".

The electric mustang fast back I saw couple years back was like 1000lb/ft torque.
Pretty bad***.
Just need a loud stereo with speakers underneath to play car sounds.

Chevy brought an EV converted 1962 C-10 to SEMA. They named the concept truck "E-10" and said it can run high 13's

"In Chevrolet's vision of the future, there would be an electric motor/transmission combo in its Chevrolet Performance inventory that could be plugged into a classic—or contemporary—performance car, just like its current big- and small-block crate motor offerings"

You might want to read the link posted above for the Chevy eCrate concept...or maybe not !

Re: Electric '69 Camaro at SEMA

Not really excited about converting a muscle car to one of these. Opening the carb barrels fully, blasting through the 4 gears with a shifter and with a big noise from under the hood is what a muscle car is. Personally I have not interest in golf cart cars. Whats next---- NHRA Top Electron, S/GC (Stock Golf Cart), SS/GC (Super Stock Golf Cart) classes with no engine roar?!? How about the Electron/Coupe Funny Car named "Manic Depressive Special" "Powered by Lithium" And Hot Rod magazine can change its name to "Lukewarm Armature"!

Yep no engine roar, just the non-stop jabbering roar of the announcer. Still using my ear plugs.

Re: Electric '69 Camaro at SEMA

Maybe they could put a vertical pin between the 2 front wheels to finish it off.
