Cowl Induction System

hi guys I had a question

what does the Cowl Induction System do

I currently have a Cowl hood but do not have this
also if my car is fuel injected can I still use this

If all the parts are present, the hood ducts cool air from the base of the windshield into the carburetor. Cooler air means denser air, which is good for more HP as long as air to fuel ratio is adjusted for the denser air. All this is probably good for a couple HP, but I wouldn't expect anything significant from it.

Experience...... It's what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.

back in the day guys would adjust the hood hinges to allow the back of the hood to stick up a little
this was the poor mans cowl induction

Yes EFI can use the air, but only if the throttle body is mounted on top of intake manifold.
If intake is a RAM-JET design, no cowl hood is for looks, not functional.
