Power but no crank

I went out for a short cruise yesterday got back home without issue. Few hours later went to take it back out, turned key to let fuel pump prime, showing 12.7 volts on gauge. Pump primed but when I turned the key to crank the car I had nothing, no click nothing. I check voltage on selinoid while daughter turned the key no voltage there either. Got home today and started looking for answers and the battery was completely dead. Took dash gauges out and found a yellow wire spliced to an orange that looks like someone soldered to the cig lighter. It's a year old Optima battery and I have had zero issues. I have a charger on it right now charging. I get power to the red wire on back of the ignition switch but can't get power to purple wire and can't get anything if I jumpers across the purple and the red wire. In fairness I didn't have but 4v when I tried the jumper so I'm trying to charge it more to test it again.

Has anyone had a similar situation?

Factory starter? Any Ford solenoid? Could be ignition switch. Could be stuck solenoid. Could be many other things.

1968 that started life and a 6 banger with a PG. Now it's a 350 with a TKO600, Moser 12 bolt, Speedtech LCA/UCA, ATS Tall Spindles, Hotchkis Springs, Forgeline ZX3P, C5 (Kore3) brakes with other cool stuff from Ron Davis, Vintage Air and soon to be Terminator EFI.
