DZ stamped 186 heads???

I just saw this posted on a Facebook forum concering 186 heads for a 69 Z28:

"If they are true DZ 302 Head's their are 3 place's that they can be stamped DZ 302 (1) inside the head where the valve cover is (2) at the water jacket of the head where the piston is (3) at the face of the head is where they stamp them at . They have the big 202 valve's"

I do not believe this to be true, but I thought I would put this out here for the experts. What is the consensus on this?

I don't qualify as an expert, but in all my years on here, I have never heard of such a thing.

Experience...... It's what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.

Hey! If it's on fakebook, it HAS to be true!!

(That response was probably posted by a ford guy!)

It is on one of the 69 Z28 forums on Facebook. I've noticed there is a lot of misinformation on there, and I do my best to straighten them out, but it is a tough job

Re: DZ stamped 186 heads???

Incorrect information can be posted anywhere on the internet, not just Facebook exclusively. A lot of the users on the Facebook groups have incorrect information, so I do my best to keep them straight. I am not what I would call a 69 Z28 expert, but I certainly know a lot more than the average Camaro guy

Who was it that said "don't argue with an idiot, as observers will wonder which one is the idiot"? Mark Twain maybe?

Then again, "stupid is as stupid does". Maybe Lt. Dan ?

Doctors still cannot cure stupid, so enjoy the laugh they give us.

Re: DZ stamped 186 heads???

I really like looking at the cars and parts on there, but some of the misinformation just makes me roll my eyes. It would seem a 69 Z28 is a magical car that every single piece of was stamped with a "DZ" according to many
