Trunk hinge bolt question

Hi, new member here. I have a ‘69 convertible that I have owned for 27 years. (They won’t let me post a pic yet, but you can see it in the “my garage” section. My question is regarding the trunk bolts that mount the lid to the hinges. Is black oxide “factory correct” for these bolts, or were they painted the color of the car? I’ve seen it done both ways and was wondering how it left the factory? Thanks

Re: Trunk hinge bolt question

Welcome, It has been a long time but,
My dad's 68 Vert, 67 Coupe, My 68 Coupe, and my Brothers 68 coupe were all painted. The Vert had been repainted (POS), the 67 and my 68 had not, don't know about my brothers but don't think so,
