1967 Camaro Window Felts

I recently replaced my window felts with the Repops OEM style. They fit great and look good. The only issue I had was the rear windows. The Repops had 4 tabs but the body of my car only had a place for 2 tabs and then you screw the end into the body. I had to break off the 2 outer tabs on the Repops. Did Chevy change the style mid way through the model year?

re: 1967 Camaro Window Felts

Anyone have any idea why? Has everyone who has installed rear window felts had 4 notches in the body or did Repops make them wrong?

Dave, I used the Repops CA168A felts. I don't recall how many notches mine had
but I did not have to remove any tabs from the felts.

Hmm. I was just curious if it were a manufacturing change or something mid year.
Thanks

re: 1967 Camaro Window Felts

I know the ones for my 67 vert rear windows had three clips both inner and outer, and the quarters are factory. The repro ones I see on eBay for coupes seems to have three as well. Were your quarters replaced? Sounds like a combo of wrong rear felts plus not enough holes in the quarter.

Dave, Was this on the quarter panel side or the inner panel? Was any sheet metal replaced?
If replaced sheet metal that could easily be the problem.

My car is all original rust free California car. My son and I built it ourselves. These were the inside of car rear window felts. I wonder if they gave me 68 felts for the rear? I had 2 notches but the felts had 4 clips

Actually mine has 3 too. Not 2. But the felt had 4 clips. Must be a mistake from Repops. Thanks!
