Installing 3 point seat belts

I want to install 3 point seat belts in my 1968 R/S.

The upper shoulder belts on my original belts have never been taken down or used. Do you use the mounts on these (above and to the rear of the back quarter window) as the anchor for the 3 point belts?

Or, do you mount the upper 3 point anchor to a location more parallel to the front seat? If so, are there holes for the anchors located there under the head lining?

It seems to me that the cleaner installation would be to use the existing rear anchors, but then the shoulder belt would have a pretty long extension to the front seat.

The only shoulder belt mounting point is the two bolt mount you are using now.I replaced my belts a few months ago.

Re: Installing 3 point seat belts

Steve,
Have a look at our 3 point seat belts front & rear. www.morrisclassic.com
All of our seat belts are year & car specific. We use all of the factory mounting points.
Our seat belts have a drop down from the top of the car to decrease the angle of the
seat belt coming across your neck.FMVSS tagged, tested and assembled in the USA.
Look at our Clear Shot mirrors that Eliminate the Passenger Side Blind spot.
You can tighten the ball & socket if ever needed.3 yr warranty!
Thx, Billy. 864-987-0032

Re: Installing 3 point seat belts

My 68 RS has had Morris seat belts in it for the last 25,000 miles. They work great. You use all the factory mounting locations. Very easy installation.
