Spark plug heat shields

I have a Ď69, 350 engine, with stock exhaust manifolds. My engine currently does not have the spark plug heat shields. I would like to install the set of 4 shields. Since there are none on the engine currently, I donít know the procedure or how involved this is. I have the assembly manual, but itís hard to tell from that. Is it any easy install? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Spark plug heat shields

iirc there is only (1) 1/4" bolt that holds them in place

Re: Spark plug heat shields

Yes they are held in place with a very short 1/4-20 bolt and lock washer.
Not too difficult to install. It's easiest to access the bolts from underneath
the car.

Re: Spark plug heat shields

Be prepared to remove the manifolds. There isn't much room in there.

The only reason someone would want insurance is if they want to pay someone elses bills or want someone else to pay their bills.

Re: Spark plug heat shields

lol...It's not that bad. You definitely need to be underneath to get to the bolts though.

May still be available at your local Chevy dealer or cheaper.
