firewall body mount covers

I am looking for some firewall body mount covers. I have seen them in the past but can't find any now. What are you guys doing to cover up those ugly holes in your firewalls?

Re: firewall body mount covers

Trying to envision what you're referring to. Would these covers be a rubber flap or some
type of a steel cover? A pic showing the areas you're trying to cover would help.

I think he is talking about the little pocket where you can see the sub frame mount bolts protrude into the unibody.

That's my guess also. I searched for Musclerodz as Don mentioned but didn't really come with anything.
Website says under construction. There is a FB page but didn't do me any good.

Re: firewall body mount covers

Al, I did thee same. I don't see any reason they couldn't be covered but it never showed up on my radar screen.

Re: firewall body mount covers

Best thing is to give Mike a call.

Yes they are plates that cover the hole where you can see the subframe mount cage nuts.

Re: firewall body mount covers

Having a hard time finding those parts in the assembly manual. Maybe some one has a GM part number to search for, and not some aftermarket part.

Asking for a friend.

The only reason someone would want insurance is if they want to pay someone elses bills or want someone else to pay their bills.

Jon, They're aftermarket only. GM never made them that I'm aware of.

Re: firewall body mount covers

If they're only aftermarket and not factory installed, maybe this posting shouldn't be in the "Restoration Corner" forum.
