Question 1967 Coupe Steering pump mount

Replaced the original exhaust manifolds with short tube headers on my 1967 2dr Coupe. Its a 327 and I am now having difficulty getting the rear power steering bracket installed. I believe it is supposed to anchor on top of the driver side motor mount. The top hole lines up but the motor mount has a flange that prevents the lower rear bracket hole from being installed. Has anyone modified their motor mounts to fix this or do I need to buy a different set of motor mounts?

Re: 1967 Coupe Steering pump mount

The pump mounting bracket is designed to work with the original non-interlocking
style motor mounts. The interlocking design interferes with the original bracket.
You can use the 68 style pump brackets to fix your problem. They are a few threads
on it here somewhere. I'll see if I can find them. Or use the original style non-interlocking
motor mounts.
