Hey Guys,
1) I was thinking of picking up a 69 RS/SS this weekend and was wondering if there were any things to look out for that would indicate whether it's a true RS/SS?
a) I know that a true SS has the exhust hanger on the right (pass) side and also has a proportioning valve under the driver's side seat, but is there anything else that would indicate that it is a true SS?
b) Is there anything that I can check to make sure that it was an original RS?
c) Is there anything that I can check that was specific to an RS/SS car?
d) Also, the guy said that it used to be an automatic and that the previous owners cut a hole in the trans tunnel to convert it to a manual, did RS/SS cars come with automatic transmissions?
2) Finally, the car only has rust at the lower fenders, has some body work that needs to be done to the right quarter panel, is missing a hood, does not have any motor or tranny, and the original rearend is missing.....What do you think it is worth?
