Not just a ZL-1...but an original owner ZL-1. It's been a race car since day one!

Joe Barr does a great job with the charity auction...and has a really cool supercar memorabilia display as well...

It's an awesome show...that has both a stactic indoor show display...and also the race day...there's not another super car show like it!

Here's a youtube video that I made...from the Thursday Night Meet and Greet!

The orange Ken B ZL1 race car is a great ZL1 story.

If i remember it correctly, he bought it new from Fred Gibb Chevrolet and raced it from day one. Picked it up new with an (about) 1965 Chevy car hauler. He still had the car hauler and restored it and also has a 2002 ZL1 Camaro with similar graphics as his 69.

form Fred Gibb show

In the above pic, leaning on the trailer in the white hat is Ken. I think he is 72 years old and still runs 10's, banging a 4 gear and lifting the front wheels....Great guy and car. As nice as you will ever meet. He usually brings the ZL1 and his vintage hauler to Vettefest in November in Chicago. Worth the trip to see the car and meet him. He owns a gas station in Elgin Il.

Dad ran down into the 10s, but I can't remember how deep...I wanna say he went 10.6s or 10.8s that day? Was the first outing with the new engine, as we had to hustle the week leading up to the Reunion to get it finished, as the engine ate itself at Memphis a weekend or two before that...

Here's a small version of one of my favorite pictures of all time...me in the opposite lane from the man himself, Ken Barnhart...[picture @ MAR shortly before it closed]
