ZZ502 vs. Merlin 509

Hi guys, new to the forum, and any help is appreciated. I've been running through options for a new motor for my car. It's a 67 back-halved, ladder bar car.

So, currently, I'm on the fence between the title motors and just wanted opinions on them. I know in general World products come pretty rough from the factory and need a bit of machining, I don't know if this is true for the crate motors or not. Also, I'm weighing the pro's and cons of the aluminum heads as opposed to cast iron. Sallee Chevrolet has a 500hp 383 as well for about the same cost, and therein is another dilemma. Big Block or Small? I've always said there's no replacement for displacement, but there's that weight issue.

Sorry for the long winded post, any help is much appreciated.
