Blue Book Value

To all my fellow Camaro fans/owners:

I am recently in the market to buy a Cyber Gray Metallic 2SS, however I'm looking for used. Went to the dealership here in Las Vegas, and they had the exact car that I want. The mileage is 8600 with a cig burn on the back seat and the leather is flaking on the driver seat, which they said that they would replace, fine! How embarrassing for the dealership, all well! So anyway they are asking $35,998, is this too much? I figured that this is over priced due to the mileage, I think that they should have it priced at $33000 and I can walk out the door with $31000 (taxes and fees included). Oh, and get this this particular car has been on the lot for 4 months, WHAT? So me being the consumer I offered him $30,000 (start out low), he refused to go talk to his manager, lol! So they called me back and offered me $2000 off plus taxes and fees. Still off the mark if you ask me. But any opinions will be greatly appreciated.
Now I have another dealership looking for one for me, which I know the COO of the auto group, so hopefully I can walk away with #$31000 out the door.

Re: Blue Book Value

Invoice on a new 2SS is $32,587 - MSRP is $33,945

Dealerships are not marking these cars up like they were. What additional options are on the car to warrant the high used car price?

Re: Blue Book Value

Well it had an automatic transmission, racing stripes, two tone leather seats, moonroof, NO RS package. Nothing spectacular. I priced it out on and it came up to $37,000. The dealership said it was $41,000 new. Whatever! What do you think?

I have another dealership looking for me which they won't make much money off of me due to me knowing the COO of the auto group.

I did find a 1SS with out leather, Bluetooth capability, and no moonroof or racing stripes for $32,998.

I just want to have all my ducks in a row when dealing with these guys! Thanks for the input!
