2012 LSA Z/28 in Colorado

I just came across this blog about the 2012 z/28 Camaro in Colorado.
Is this for real or what? Are they already doing the testing?

It looks sick.

Thanks
james

ps. I have used this shop before and they know what they're talking about. Good guys to deal with. True gear heads!

Re: 2012 LSA Z/28 in Colorado

Jalopnik posted a day or two ago that the z-28 was in trials. Camaro Z28 Hits The Nürburgring, Sounds Awesome

2 things come to mind.

Why does the z-28 have more power than the SS?
Im afraid to ask the cost.

Re: 2012 LSA Z/28 in Colorado

I'd imagine many of the Camaro enthusiasts (like myself) are going to be dissapointed because the direction they are taking the new Z28's. I was really hoping the new Z will be an affordable, high revving, track car like the originals used to be. Who knows, maybe the super charger will be added to the SS models, we can only hope

I did just saw they are launching the rebirth of the Boss 302's for 2012. How cool would it be to have those Trans Am competition days again (I was born in 81, so I've only learned of those "days" from my dad and some articles)?
