Window tint pricing

I have a 2011 camaro ss and I went today to see how much it would cost to get my windows tinted and if I get the top of the line tint he's said which was carbon it would cost me $400 including the windshield. Is that a good deal or is he charging to much? I'm going to go up there tomorrow to get them done but I can still cancel if that's over priced. Let me know guys asap please.

Hard to say without knowing what his Top-of-the-line is ???

But, cost me about $250 to get the wifes car (not a Camaro) done here in Md.

Re: Window tint pricing

Don't know the different quality of tint... But had my crew cab and cap all done with 20% tint at a well known shop and paid 200.00... Took them less than an hr...So 400 Sounds a little steep.. To me...

Don't know about the price, but be sure you don't get metallic it will mess with your blu tooth and sat radio.

Re: Window tint pricing

Way too much! $200 at tops and should come with a lifetime replacement for that price. What do you mean "windshield too"? Other than about a 6" tint strip at the top about where the visor cover it's illegal to tint a windshield to my knowledge.

Re: Window tint pricing

It should be anywhere from $150-200 to do a whole car.

Go with the 2 bid system. It lets you know if someone's putting the screws to you.

Re: Window tint pricing

HOW DARK CAN WINDOW TINT BE IN MICHIGAN?
Darkness of tint is measured by Visible Light Transmission percentage (VLT%). In Michigan, this percentage refers to percentage of visible light allowed in through the combination of film and the window.
• Windshield Non-reflective tint is allowed on the top 4 inches of the windshield.
• Front Side Windows Any darkness can be applied 4" inches from the top of the window.
• Back Side Windows Any darkness can be used.
• Rear Window Any darkness can be used.

HOW REFLECTIVE CAN THE TINT BE IN MICHIGAN?
Similar to sunglass lenses, some tinting film contain metallic elements that help in reflecting incoming light and reducing the glare and heat generated by visible light.

• Front Side Windows Must not be more than 35% reflective.
• Back Side Windows Must not be more than 35% reflective.

OTHER MICHIGAN RULES AND REGULATIONS
• Restricted Colors No colors of tint are explicitly banned.
• Side Mirrors No restrictions.
• Certificate Requirements Manufacturers of film do NOT need to certify the film they sell in the state.
• Sticker Requirements No sticker to identify legal tinting is required.
• Medical Exemption State allows medical exemptions for special tint. For more details about the specific terms of the exemption, consult your state law.

Re: Window tint pricing

I just got a quote of $215 for my 2011. Lifetime, 50% sides, 35% on the rear. I also just talked to a guy who had his new vert done for $125, so $400 sounds a little steep to me...

Re: Window tint pricing

25 bucks a window and 50 for a rear down here in the south
and thats for the highest grade (thickness of the film ) or the lowest grade tint..
percentage doesnt matter on price in n.c.
